Thanks to Everyone
Thanks to Everyone. The rains are back. We can officially say the drought that lasted 8 months has been alleviated and our pastures are once again growing forage. Now our culled herds of sheep and goats are once again happily foraging through a bounty of new growth of guinea grass and shrubs (native pasture) that is best for their nutrition.
Sejah Farm of the Virgin Islands would like to thank everyone who has contributed financially and sent positive words (good vibes) of encouragement. Your contribution has greatly made a difference and has assisted us through these 8 months of drought.
We are now taking advantage of the new season rains and are preparing our fields for crop production. We have already started new seedling for transplant. Available for the upcoming months will be cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and a host of greens and herbs and other produce for you organically and locally grown consumption.
Due to the drought our fall season CSA was cancelled; however we will resume our winter CSA in January 2016. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our Farmers’ market during next year’s harvest and hope we will be able to thank everyone in person.
Thank You VI
